Watford Borough Council worked with The Sport, Leisure and Culture Consultancy (SLC), Paul Weston Architect and Southern Green Landscape Architects to developed a detailed masterplan and feasibility study for Woodside Playing Fields which built upon the previous masterplanning work. The first phase of the project to provide a Community Sports Village was agreed.

The first phase of the project is to utilise a mixture of new build and existing historic buildings to develop a Community Sports Village. Key features of the village are shown below and the extent of the first phase works can be viewed in the following master plan drawings.
